Bio

Change has a bad reputation. People say it's hard, but it can be thrilling. I love working with adolescents during moments of evolution: starting high school, going to college, entering the post-school world (when one can feel loneliest), becoming the person they want to be at all the stages we go through from the ages of 13-28.

My practice is the realization of my passion to help clients develop a sense of agency and autonomy; build life skills, including resilience, self-compassion, and self-advocacy; and find purpose in their lives. I engage my clients with the values of authenticity, unconditional positive regard, and serious playfulness, always looking to help them find a way forward.

I bring over two decades of experience counseling adolescents. Most importantly, I hold a PCC credential from the International Coaching Federation, the gold standard in coaching. Combining these qualifications with my background as an actress, director, and teacher of theater, I have a unique ability to sit comfortably with others' emotions and breadth of experiences, and to see situations from a variety of perspectives while maintaining objectivity and clarity.

In my work with parents, I understand the value of being able to check in with someone who is knowledgeable, trained, and well-versed in the art of raising an adolescent, and who can understand the needs and feelings of parents while at the same time understanding and empathizing with the needs and feelings of teens.

Since going into private practice, I've committed hundreds of hours to coaching adults on many topics, including making a career change, caring for their aging parents, strengthening their intimate relationships, developing their creativity, and so much more.

My clients tell me they have never been as thoroughly listened to and heard as they feel with me. That may be because I encountered my share of adolescent hardship, from bullying to the early death of a parent to simply being "different from the other kids." And yet, I have thrived!
